DevSecure Intelligence vs Bitsight

Rating your vendors' security posture, but still need an order for the specific CVEs in your own environment?

Free plan: 500 CVEs a month, no sales call.

At a glance

Bitsight is a cyber risk intelligence platform best known for outside-in security ratings and third-party risk management, and it also offers a CVE-level exploit-likelihood score through its threat-intelligence products. DevSecure Intelligence is a focused, transparent CVE prioritisation API.

DevSecure Intelligence and Bitsight compared

Bitsight details from Bitsight's public material, last reviewed 21/10/2026 (sources below).

DevSecure capabilities shown in this comparison reflect the DevSecure Intelligence launch specification. Commercial availability may vary by plan and rollout status.

Core purpose

DevSecure Intelligence
CVE prioritisation
Bitsight
Security ratings, third-party risk, attack surface and threat intelligence
Why it matters
Different scopes: your CVEs vs organisations' posture.

Risk model

DevSecure Intelligence
Per-CVE RPS with priority bands
Bitsight
Organisation ratings (250–900); a CVE-level exploit-likelihood score (DVE) in its threat-intelligence products
Why it matters
Vendor decisions use organisation ratings; patch review uses CVE priorities.

Transparency

DevSecure Intelligence
The scoring formula, weights and band rules are published
Bitsight
Bitsight cites independent validation of its organisation-ratings methodology; for DVE we found no published weighting or validation results
Why it matters
A published method can be reproduced and challenged.

Primary user

DevSecure Intelligence
Engineering, AppSec and vulnerability management teams
Bitsight
Third-party risk, GRC and security leadership; CTI and SOC teams for its intelligence products
Why it matters
Different buyers and workflows.

Pricing

DevSecure Intelligence
Published plans, including a free tier
Bitsight
Packages published; prices on request
Why it matters
Predictable costs and no procurement cycle for a first evaluation.

Data approach

DevSecure Intelligence
Public vulnerability intelligence: NVD, MITRE, EPSS, CISA KEV, GHSA, OSV, Exploit-DB, Metasploit
Bitsight
Outside-in scanning (4B+ IP addresses, 40M+ organisations) and underground sources, per Bitsight
Why it matters
Complementary data, not competing data.

Integrations

DevSecure Intelligence
REST API, OpenAPI and a CI/CD gate
Bitsight
APIs and MCP access, plus ServiceNow, Jira, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Archer and others
Why it matters
Choose by where the decision lands.

Bitsight rates organisations. DevSecure ranks vulnerabilities.

Use Bitsight to understand vendor and organisational posture, and DevSecure Intelligence to order the CVEs your own scanners find, with the score, band, rule and inputs visible for every one.

RPS = [(0.4 × CVSS/10) + (0.3 × EPSS percentile)] × KEV amplifier × 100

The KEV amplifier is 1.5 for CVEs in CISA KEV, otherwise 1.0. A KEV-listed CVE is never below High, and neither is one with an EPSS percentile of 0.99 or more and CVSS 9 or more. Full detail: methodology. API: prioritise scanner output.

Which fits your team?

DevSecure Intelligence is best for

  • Teams ordering CVEs from their own scans
  • Pipelines that need explainable, reproducible priorities
  • Self-serve evaluation

Bitsight is best for

  • Third-party and vendor risk programmes
  • Board and executive security reporting
  • Outside-in attack surface monitoring

Where Bitsight is stronger

Bitsight and DevSecure Intelligence mostly solve different problems. Bitsight answers how secure an organisation or vendor is, and is a recognised leader in security ratings. DevSecure Intelligence answers which of your CVEs to review first and why. Where Bitsight's CVE-level scoring overlaps, the difference is that our method is published.

Questions

Is DevSecure Intelligence an alternative to Bitsight?

Generally no. Bitsight focuses on organisation-level ratings and third-party risk; DevSecure ranks individual CVEs. They complement each other.

Bitsight has a CVE score (DVE). How is RPS different?

Bitsight describes DVE as a prediction of exploitation likelihood. RPS is a published formula over CVSS, the EPSS percentile and CISA KEV with documented band rules, so you can recompute any score yourself.

Is there a free tier?

Yes. The Free plan includes 500 CVEs a month with one API key.
